Kootenai Clinic specializes in surgical problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Our hand surgery clinic is a fully accredited, freestanding outpatient surgical facility in Coeur d¡¯Alene, Idaho.

Procedures

Most patients in relatively good health experience their surgery in an outpatient setting without the need for hospital admission.

Anesthesia is administered by a group of qualified anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists. The utmost effort is put forth to provide a relaxing environment for all patients.

Appointments

Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday. We even have some appointments that can be made after normal work hours. If you are a new patient, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow enough time to complete the required paperwork prior to your scheduled appointment time. To help make the process faster, fill out your new patient paperwork before your appointment and bring it with you. If you fill out your paperwork before, feel free to arrive five minutes prior to your appointment.

Insurance

We participate with most major insurance carriers including Medicare. A referral is not required to schedule an appointment. However, please contact your insurance carrier prior to your visit to determine if a preauthorization is required. Our staff will preauthorize your procedure and contact you if any difficulties arise.
